Jamie & Kerry McCallum's Wedding Day! 28.05.23 Our Gorgeous JB Real Bride Kerry says I do! Kerry was so excited to have her wedding day featured on our new blog! Doesn't she look fabulous in our satin IVY wedding dress! How would you describe your June Brides experience ? Right from my very first appointment I was made to feel so comfortable. Every bit of communication with Carol was so professional and lovely, she made me feel like I was the only bride she had to look after even though she definitely has a fair few. Carol took such good care of me at every appointment, made me feel so relaxed and beautiful, even when I was feeling super anxious about trying on dresses. Hollie was honestly just so lovely as well and even though she wasn’t looking after me personally, she was always there to help and have a chat. I honestly couldn’t fault my experience with June Brides and will be sending any future brides your way! From start to finish tell us about your special day! How did you feel on the morning of your wedding, share your ceremony highlights with us, tell us about your evening reception & partying! The whole day went so unbelievably well, from getting ready to the very last dance! I was relatively calm on the morning of the wedding up until I had my gorgeous dress on and then it seemed to hit me all at once. The ceremony was beautiful, and we did had the parents sitting on the opposite sides from us so they could see our faces when we got married (instead of the traditional brides parents sit on her side etc.). A few weeks before the wedding our celebrant had asked us to send in secret 3 reasons why we loved the other – it was hilarious and emotional to hear what the other one wrote. Our first dance was just amazing, especially to hear the shock when people realised, we had learned how to dance and didn’t do the typical first dance shuffle! What was the style of your wedding ( eg. formal, relaxed, traditional?) did you have a theme or colour palette? What was your floral choices? The whole day was so relaxed, we kept things simple and didn’t go to overboard with theming. The vibe we wanted to go for was very natural and floral, so the centre pieces were flowers, the name plates where wooden coasters and the top table runner was a simple foliage garland. My flowers were made of white roses, babies breath and foliage, with my MOH’s flowers being a smaller version. The other girls had the babies breath and foliage only. We also had some gorgeous white rise corsages for the mums and blue thistle buttonholes for all the men. Tell us all about your gorgeous gown! Was it what you thought you would choose? How did it make you feel? Share your experience the day you said YES! To your perfect wedding dress! Where to even start with my dress – it was so utterly perfect! Despite not at all being what I had wanted, it was so right for me and the big day. The Ivy is such a beautiful dress, so simple and elegant – and it has pockets! Having those meant I didn’t need a clutch, which was a complete added bonus! Honestly the dress was just stunning and I couldn’t be happier. Do you have a favourite picture from your special day? My favourite picture has to be the picture of me and Jamie walking down the isle after saying I do – we’re just laughing with each other and it looks so natural. It sums up how happy we felt on the day so well! What was your favourite moment on your wedding day Getting to the isle and seeing Jamie – until that point I was so anxious and felt sick, yet the second I seen him in his kilt, it was like the anxiety vanished. It made me realise how lucky I was and that I was making the best decision of my life marrying my best friend.
